Welcome to Rooster's Haven. Thanks for checking us out. You will find we provide a variety of services in the San Francisco, Bay Area, California, as well as Reno, Nevada. You'll see by looking thru our pages that we offer in-home pet sitting, equine, farm and ranch care, and Farrier (horseshoing) services. We also put on community horse shows and sometimes a buckle show series (English, Western, Trail & Reining - perhaps games and Driving too). We have "Reno Rides" where you can ride endless trails all day and enjoy the company of other 'horse folk'. We are strong advocates for the Wild Horses and Burros. We connect people to people in their interests & situations.
Note: website picture above on all our pages is from the Palomino Valley, NV, Bureau of Land Management Wild Horses in January of 2002 - taken by Katrina Lomax

Dedication to Terri
9/12/1926 to 10/24/2007

Teresa Lomax - Daughter of the late Francisco Morone and Angelina Manfredonia
who immigrated from Italy and came to the USA through Ellis Island, NY.
Wife of the late Kenneth M Lomax (97). She was born in Astoria, Queens, NY
and married Kenneth before the Navy sent him overseas to Normandy
during WWII. he returned and they enjoyed many years to come with
their family. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a
Carnival Cruise to the Carribean with family and friends in 1994. They
moved to West Palm Beach FL in 1986 and she resided there until 2003
when she moved to Old Fort, NC. She also spent much time on the
West Coast living in the bay area and in Reno, NV.
Survived by her three daughters: Carolyn WIlis of Franklinton, NC,
Angela Matos of Old Fort, NC and Katrina Lomax of Sunnyvale, CA.
Five generations she had seen: with 10 grandchildren,
20 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Teresa or (Terri) had many different jobs throughout her life. She
was a saleswoman at A&S and Lord & Taylors, and then a
dental assistant in NY. Her last job she was a clerk at a
small boutique called, "Kiss it Goodbye" in Sunnyvale, CA.
She had a deep love for horses and started riding again in 2004 after a gap of
30 years. She had her first and only competetion at the
Rooster's Haven Open Horse Show in San Martin, CA on
May 19th 2007. She earned a fourth place in Western Pleasure
and a blue ribbon for the Freestyle competion where she
dressed as a Native American (her and Zippy) and performed to Shedaisy's "Passenger Seat"
If you were
able to see this, it was a special, memorable event!
She came from the greatest generation, seeing everything
from the great depression, the first TV and the first man on the moon.
She had a strong devotion and love of family. She will be most
deeply missed and her memories kept in our hearts. On her
original wedding day, November 4th, she was laid to rest next
to her husband at the Royal Palm Beach Funeral Home and
Cemetary in West Palm Beach FL. They are now together
forever and in God's care and love everlasting.

Yes we have our new 2008 volunteers* all ready and "FIRED UP " for the show Saturday May 10th. If you are a vendor, it's not too late to come out. Just show up and we will find a place for you. As always we would have liked to have more then one sponsor to help with items/ awards/ or costs! Maybe next show? However once again, thanks to all our Farrier clients and Pet Sitting Customers, we were able to fund this great community show by using monies from the pet sitting/farrier business and lets not forget our paychecks. Thank God! I want to mention the help from the volunteers which we couldn't do this without!
If you like our shows please let us know. If there is a suggestion for a future show drop us a note.
Contact us: roosters_haven@yahoo.com or 408-431-2273 we would love to hear from you.
